STEAP Murals in Hendersonville

STEAP is proud to support public art that transforms ordinary spaces into places of discovery, reflection, and community pride. Through its sponsorship of murals in downtown Hendersonville, North Carolina, STEAP has helped bring vibrant works of art to the city’s streets, celebrating local history, culture, and the creative spirit that makes Hendersonville unique. These murals not only beautify the community but also invite residents and visitors alike to engage with the stories that define the region.

Many of these projects have been made possible through the generous support of the Community Foundation of Henderson County, whose commitment to enhancing the quality of life in our region has helped expand opportunities for public art and cultural engagement. STEAP is grateful for the Foundation’s partnership in making these creative placemaking initiatives a reality.

As part of STEAP’s mission to advance storytelling, education, and the arts, the organization partners with local artists, businesses, nonprofits, and community leaders to make public art more accessible and meaningful. Each mural serves as a visual story—connecting people with the past, inspiring conversations about the present, and encouraging a shared vision for the future. Together with initiatives like the FREE Hendo Audio Art Tour, STEAP’s mural projects demonstrate how art can enrich public spaces, celebrate local identity, and strengthen the bonds within the community.
